We assign a random browser identifier in local storage and a first-party cookie. It lets us count visits, recently active browsers, and requests for each resource. Reports cover the last 90 days; older events are removed during later site activity. The identifier is not a student account and does not contain a name, email address, or IP address. Download counts mean a resource request was sent; the external file provider may still fail to deliver it. Browsers that disable storage or JavaScript may not be counted. We do not send usage events when a browser signals Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control.

Like most standard website servers and content delivery networks (Cloudflare Pages), ICSE Resources follows standard procedures for utilizing log files. These files log visitors when they access websites.

The information collected by log files includes internet protocol (IP address), browser type, Internet Service Provider (ISP), date/time stamp, referring/exit pages, and possibly the number of clicks. These are not linked to any information that is personally identifiable. The sole purpose of this technical data is for analyzing trends, administering the site, tracking aggregate user movement around the website, and gathering demographic information to ensure site reliability and prevent malicious denial-of-service attempts.

Student resource submissions

If you share a resource, we store the file, its class, subject, description, and optional Discord and Reddit IDs for administrator review. The file remains private until an administrator approves it. Approved files become publicly downloadable and may be copied to Internet Archive with an info.txt file showing the review ID and resource details. Optional IDs appear in the public info.txt only if you select the separate opt-in checkbox. Internet Archive copies may persist after removal from this site. We give you a tracking code for review status. Your browser can save this code locally, and you can copy it to check status elsewhere. Do not submit files you lack permission to share. Contact us to request removal of a submission.

4. How to Manage and Disable Cookies

You can choose to disable or selectively turn off our cookies or third-party cookies in your individual browser settings, or by managing preferences in security software suites. However, this can affect how you are able to interact with our site as well as other websites.

6. Children's Online Privacy Protection (COPPA)

Protecting the online privacy of young students is especially vital. ICSE Resources does not knowingly collect any Personal Identifiable Information from children under the age of 13. If a parent or guardian believes that ICSE Resources has in its database the personal identification of a child under the age of 13, please contact us immediately, and we will use our best efforts to promptly remove such information from our records.
